In addition, the location of the pauses was coded (within word/between word) to examine where the breakdown in the writing process occurred. The results indicated that the main group difference was driven by more pauses above 10 s in the DCD group. In addition, the DCD group paused more within words compared to TD peers, indicating a lack of automaticity in their handwriting. These findings may support the provision of additional time for children with DCD in written examinations. More importantly, they emphasise the need for intervention in children with DCD to promote the acquisition of efficient handwriting skill.]]> Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:57:01 AEST ]]> Handwriting speed in children with Developmental Coordination Disorder : Are they really slower? http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:11734 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:57:01 AEST ]]> Conceptualising and measuring student engagement through the Australasian Survey of Student Engagement (AUSSE) : A critique http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:10760 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:56:07 AEST ]]> Predictors of teacher intervention in indirect bullying at school and outcome of a professional development presentation for teachers http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:6920 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:46:27 AEST ]]> Students' perceptions of assessment process : questionnaire http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5996 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:45:34 AEST ]]> The effect of clustering on statistical tests : an illustration using classroom environment data http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5976 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:45:33 AEST ]]> The role of community based playgroups in building relationships between pre-services teachers, families and communities http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5831 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:45:24 AEST ]]> Towards a spatialised youth sociology: The rural and the urban in times of change http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5784 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:45:21 AEST ]]> Unpacking the black box: The problem of agency in the sociology of youth http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5738 Wed 07 Apr 2021 13:45:18 AEST ]]> Associations between helmet use and brain injuries amongst injured pedal- and motor-cyclists: A case series analysis of trauma centre presentations http://researchonline.federation.edu.au/vital/access/manager/Repository/vital:5473 /= 2. Helmet use was coded. After stratification by rider type, data were analysed to examine the relationships between helmet use and injury using logistic regression. A total of 220 injured motorcycle riders and 137 injured pedal cyclists met the study's inclusion criteria, with 195 motorcycle riders and passengers (88.6%) and 87 pedal cyclists (63.5%) wearing helmets. Helmets were associated with a significant reduction (p<0.05) in the likelihood of head and intracranial injury in both rider groups. Associated with helmet use was a reduction in intracranial injury likelihood of 66% for both helmeted motorcycle riders and pedal cyclists.
