The 3D Morphable models of the human face have prepared myriad of applications in computer vision, human computer interaction and security surveillances. However, due to the variation in size, complexity of training data set, the landmark mapping, the representation in real time and rendering or synthesis of images in three dimensional is limited. In this paper, we extend the approach of the photometric stereo and provide the human face reconstruction in three dimensional. The proposed method consists of two steps. First it automatically detects the face and segment the iris along with statistical features of pupil location in it. Secondly it provides the selection of minimum six features and where iris process to generate the 3D face. In compare with existing methods our approach provides the automation which produces more better and efficient results in contrast to the manual methods.

Automatic 3D extraction of building roofs from remotely sensed data is important for many applications including city modeling. This paper proposes a new method for automatic 3D roof extraction through an effective integration of LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data and multispectral orthoimagery. Using the ground height from a DEM (Digital Elevation Model), the raw LIDAR points are separated into two groups. The first group contains the ground points that are exploited to constitute a `ground mask'. The second group contains the non-ground points which are segmented using an innovative image line guided segmentation technique to extract the roof planes. The image lines extracted from the grey-scale version of the orthoimage are classified into several classes such as `ground', `tree', `roof edge' and `roof ridge' using the ground mask and colour and texture information from the orthoimagery. During roof plane extraction the lines from the later two classes are used to fit roof planes to the neighbouring non-ground LIDAR points. Finally, a new rule-based procedure is applied to remove planes constructed on trees. Experimental results show that the proposed method successfully removes vegetation and offers high extraction rates.

Roof plane segmentation is a complex task since point cloud data carry no connection information and do not provide any semantic characteristics of the underlying scanned surfaces. Point cloud density, complex roof profiles, and occlusion add another layer of complexity which often encounter in practice. In this article, we present a new technique that provides a better interpolation of roof regions where multiple surfaces intersect creating non-manifold points. As a result, these geometric features are preserved to achieve automated identification and segmentation of the roof planes from unstructured laser data. The proposed technique has been tested using the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing benchmark and three Australian datasets, which differ in terrain, point density, building sizes, and vegetation. The qualitative and quantitative results show the robustness of the methodology and indicate that the proposed technique can eliminate vegetation and extract buildings as well as their non-occluding parts from the complex scenes at a high success rate for building detection (between 83.9% and 100% per-object completeness) and roof plane extraction (between 73.9% and 96% per-object completeness). The proposed method works more robustly than some existing methods in the presence of occlusion and low point sampling as indicated by the correctness of above 95% for all the datasets.

Blind Source Separation techniques are widely used in the field of wireless communication for a very long time to extract signals of interest from a set of multiple signals without training data. In this paper, we investigate the problem of separation of the human voice from a mixture of human voice and sounds from different musical instruments. The human voice may be a singing voice in a song or may be a part of some news, broadcast by a channel with background music. This paper proposes a generalized Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT)-based technique, combined with filter bank to extract vocals from background music. The main purpose is to design a filter bank and to eliminate background aliasing errors with best reconstruction conditions, having approximated scaling factors. Stereo signals in time-frequency domain are used in experiments. The input stereo signals are processed in the form of frames and passed through the proposed STFT-based technique. The output of the STFT-based technique is passed through the filter bank to minimize the background aliasing errors. For reconstruction, first an inverse STFT is applied and then the signals are reconstructed by the OverLap-Add method to get the final output, containing vocals only. The experiments show that the proposed approach performs better than the other state-of-the-art approaches, in terms of Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) and Signal-to-Distortion Ratio (SDR), respectively.
