- Description: An overview of challenges around blockchain adoption has revealed that there is little understanding of the process of blockchain adoption decisions, including who needs to be involved and consulted at various stages. When systems are designed to intentionally protect privacy or to obscure actors, such as blockchain platforms, it can be challenging to identify them and to understand their roles. To do this we used an Innovation Translation approach from Actor-Network Theory (Latour, 2007) which looks at the roles of both human and non-human actors. To understand the interactions among the actors involved, multiple rounds of interviews were conducted with Blockchain experts, utilising the qualitative Delphi method. The findings of this study propose a framework that provides insight into the decision-process by exploring the actors involved and their roles as they implement strategies to adopt blockchain and to convince other actors. The outcomes will assist blockchain practitioners and researchers to have an understanding of pre-adoption decisions and stakeholder involvement. - Description: In recent years, organisational software process education has seen a considerable uptick in interest in adopting business simulation games (BSGs) as a novel learning resource. However, the lack of reliable and valid instruments to evaluate simulation learning outcomes inhibits the adoption and progress of simulation in Information System education. To fill this need, we performed a systematic review of 33 empirical studies using the PRISMA declaration approach to identify the different evaluation methods used to analyse BSG learning outcomes. - Description: Blockchain (BCT) is an emerging technology that promises many benefits for organizations, for instance, disintermediation, data security, data transparency, a single version of the truth, and trust among trading partners. Despite its multiple benefits, the adoption rate of BCT among organizations has not reached a significantly high level worldwide, thus requiring further research in this space. The present study addresses this issue in the Australian context. There is a knowledge gap in what specific factors, among the plethora of factors reported in the extant literature, affect the organizational adoption of BCT in Australia. To fill this gap, the study uses the qualitative interpretative research approach along with the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework as a theoretical lens. The data was mainly drawn from the literature review and semi-structured interviews of the decision-makers and senior IT people from the BCT adopter and potential adopter organizations in Australia. According to the findings, perceived information transparency, perceived risks, organization innovativeness, organization learning capability, standards uncertainty, and competition intensity influence organizational adoption of BCT in Australia. These factors are exclusively identified in this study. The study also validates the influence of perceived benefits and perceived compatibility on BCT adoption that are reported in the past studies. Practically, these findings are helpful for the Australian government and public and private organizations to develop better policies and make informed decisions for the organizational adoption of BCT. The findings would guide decision-makers to think about the adoption of BCT strategically. The study also has theoretical implications explained in the discussion section. © 2022 Saleem Malik et al.

- Description: Blockchain based framework provides data immutability in a distributed network. In this paper, we investigate the application of blockchain for peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading. Traditional energy trading systems use simple passing mechanisms and basic pricing methods, thus adversely affect the efficiency and buyers' social welfare. We propose a blockchain based energy trading mechanism that uses smart passing of unspent auction reservations to (a) minimise the time taken to settle an auction (convergence time), (b) maximise the number of auction settlement; and (c) incorporate second-price auction pricing to maximise buyers' social welfare in a distributed double auction environment. The entire mechanism is implemented within Hyperledger Fabric, an open-source blockchain framework, to manage the data and provide smart contracts. Experiments show that our approach minimises the convergence time, maximises the number of auction settlement, and increases the social welfare of buyers compared to existing methods. © 2022 IEEE Computer Society. BSGs tend to actively engage students with course material, promoting higher engagement and motivation and enabling learning outcomes. Increasingly, researchers are trying to explore the full potential of these games with an upsurge of research in the BSG field in recent years. There is a need to understand the current state of research and future research opportunities; however, there is a lack of recent systematic literature reviews in BSG literature. This study addresses this gap by systematically compiling online empirical research from January 2015 to April 2022. We followed PRISMA guidelines to identify fifty-seven (57) papers reporting empirical evidence of the effectiveness of BSGs in teaching and learning. Findings showed that BSGs improve learning outcomes such as knowledge acquisition, cognitive and interactive skills, and behaviour. The review also summarises different issues concerning the integration of BSGs into the curriculum, learning theories used in the selected studies, and assessment methods used to evaluate student achievement in learning outcomes. The findings of this review summarise the current research activities and indicate existing deficiencies and potential research directions that can be used as the basis for future research into the use of BSGs in higher education. © 2022 Nadia Faisal et al.

- Description: Blockchain technology (BCT) is an emerging technology. Cybersecurity challenges in BCT are being explored to add greater value to business processes and reshape business operations. This scoping review paper was aimed at exploring the current literature's scope and categorizing various types of cybersecurity challenges in BCT. Databases such as Elsevier, ResearchGate, IEEE, ScienceDirect, and ABI/INFORM Collection (ProQuest) were searched using a combination of terms, and after rigorous screening, 51 research studies were found relevant. Data coding was performed following a framework proposed for scoping review. After careful analysis, thirty different types of cybersecurity challenges in BCT were categorized into six standardized classes. Our results show that most of the studies disclose cybersecurity challenges in BCT generally without pointing to any specific industry sector, and to a very little extent, few papers reveal cybersecurity challenges in BCT related to specific industry sectors. Also, prior studies barely investigated the strategies to minimize cybersecurity challenges in BCT. Based on gap identification, future research avenues were proposed for scholars.

To boost graduate work-readiness, Australian institutions are adopting new pedagogical strategies by familiarising Information systems (IS) students with this highly sought-after software. One of these techniques is simulation games that provide students with a risk-free, real-world simulation of popular software to develop soft and hard skills needed by the IS industry. This exploratory study employed the Grounded Theory approach to evaluate instructors' perceptions of the influence of simulation games on the work-readiness of information systems students. We conducted semi-structured interviews with (Enterprise Resource Planning Simulation) ERPsim game laboratory instructors. The authors utilised Work Readiness Integrated Competency Model to map the three learning outcomes from the interviews’ analysis: abilities, knowledge, and attitudes. The mapping demonstrated that simulation games could support the development of specific skills and attitudes needed by the information systems sector. - Description: Blockchain technology (BCT) has been gaining popularity due to its benefits for almost every industry. However, despite its benefits, the organizational adoption of BCT is rather limited. This lack of uptake motivated us to identify the factors that influence the adoption of BCT from an organizational perspective. In doing this, we reviewed the BCT literature, interviewed BCT experts, and proposed a research model based on the TOE framework. Specifically, we theorized the role of technological (perceived benefits, compatibility, information transparency, and disintermediation), organizational (organization innovativeness, organizational learning capability, and top management support), and environmental (competition intensity, government support, trading partners readiness, and standards uncertainty) factors in the organizational adoption of BCT in Australia. We confirmed the model with a sample of adopters and potential adopter organizations in Aus-tralia. The results show a significant role of the proposed factors in the organizational adoption of BCT in Australia. Additionally, we found that the relationship between the influential factors and BCT adoption is moderated by “perceived risks”. The study extends the TOE framework by adding factors that were ignored in previous studies on BCT adoption, such as perceived information trans-parency, perceived disintermediation, organizational innovativeness, organizational learning capa-bility, and standards uncertainty. © 2021 by the authors. - Description: Despite latest advances in small group research, discovery of group interactions and performance from analysis of small group communication, such as project emails, is still minimally represented. This paper presents a novel approach of studying small groups through analysis of the participants' emails sent to the project manager. We examined 1,105 email messages from managers' email in-boxes across five distinct ICT projects from the personal, social, collaborative, and engaging perspective of the email senders and link the findings to group performance. The study provides theoretical evidence that analysis of incoming communication from project managers' email in-box can be used to measure a group's success. - Description: Deep and rapid changes in digital enterprise technology exceed the ability of traditional teaching methods to prepare students for challenges encountered in modern enterprises. Researchers proposed different pedagogical approaches to teach ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) concepts such as ERPsim games to enhance students’ learning and job-readiness. Although the ERPsim studies verified the role of these games in enhancing students’ learning, whether these games contribute to student’s job readiness still needs to be explored. Using the mixed-method approach, this research-in-progress is designed to fill this gap by investigating the role of ERPsim game in increasing skills, learning levels, and job-readiness among university students in Australia. The findings from this study can contribute to the improvement of ERP pedagogical techniques. In addition, this research-in-progress will provide a concrete mapping to align learning outcomes/skills with ICT industry competencies standards as defined in SFIA (Skills framework for Information Age) and AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework).

The survey reported here not only validates the interplay of IT and OL but also reveals some important intervening factors between IT and OL, e.g. absorptive capacity, organization culture, user trust, acceptance and satisfaction that work as deterministic elements in the reciprocal relationship of IT and OL. We propose future research to explore interaction between big data analytical systems and organizational learning.

Many healthcare organizations use social media however, the value that they derive from it is unclear.
