- Bill Hodges, Fred Webster and Albert Axford kept a mine at Jumbunna working until 1962. It was on the opposite side of the valley to the last Jumbunna Mine. Here, Bill and Albert are hewing coal. After 1962, the Jumbunna syndicate decided to extract pillar coal from under the railway alignment, previously not permitted by Victorian Railways.; Item held by Gippsland and Regional Studies Collection, Federation University Australia.
