- Abstract
- The Tyers River Inn, with a coach and a wagon outside, situated on the Moe Walhalla coach road. W.S. Gould, the proprietor, had prospected in Gippsland and established the Tyers River Inn at a crossing on the Tyers River in 1878. The area became known as Gould. W.S. Gould later expanded the hotel and it became known as the Cecil Inn.; Item held by Gippsland and Regional Studies Collection, Federation University Australia.
