- Abstract
- The article focuses on the use of cartoons as a conceptual strategy to teach addition calculations to Grade three and Grade four students. It states that the concept cartoon enhances the mathematical mental computation ability of students. The strategy is perceived to benefit teachers because the concept cartoon will allegedly help determine the mental computational ability of children and their capacity to visualize the addition algorithm.
